Last updated: July 22, 2026

Who is responsible

Mao VPN is managed by the developer and operator identified on the Company page. Contact us with privacy questions.

Data we process

  • Account data: email address, verification status and identifiers for sign-in methods.
  • Device data: an internal installation identifier, platform, device name, app version and last activity time.
  • Subscription data: plan, status, purchase source, transaction identifier, validity dates and auto-renewal status.
  • Technical data: VPN session start and end times, billable seconds, session status, IP address and security events.

Why we use data

  • To create and protect your account.
  • To link no more than two devices and manage sessions.
  • To account for available time, subscriptions and purchase restoration.
  • To operate the VPN, diagnose errors and prevent abuse.
  • To meet legal obligations and answer support requests.

Third-party services

Apple and Google may be used for sign-in. In-app purchases are processed by Apple under its own policies.

Retention and deletion

Data is retained for as long as needed to operate the account, secure the service and meet obligations. Deleting an account removes its account record, devices, active sessions, tokens, subscription and usage history. Limited de-identified security records may be retained to prevent abuse or comply with law.

Your choices and changes

You can delete your account in the app or contact us if you have lost access. You may also request information about your data or correction of it. The current version of this policy will always be available on this page.
